This was recorded in stereo at The Lighthouse Cafe in Hermosa Beach, CA by Ray Angona on August 29, 1956 with Frank Rosolino, trombone, Bob Cooper, tenor sax, Howard Rumsey on bass, Stan Levey on drums and Roger Fleming on piano. I have no other details, but I assume that this track and the six others that were recorded in performance on that date have not been released commercially. The cover art is from "Cartoon Modern" and is representative of the motifs and themes that cartoonists in the 1950s were exploring. The tune was a feature for drummer Stan Levey who, as you can tell, was really on fire that night [a Wednesday].
